"Go Fly a Kite?"

My daughter asks the above question on a regular basis now. It is our own fault though.

It all started one day when we put MARY POPPINS on for her - - her first film. We assumed that at the most, she may like a few key parts but thought it wouldn't be possible for her to sit through the the entire thing. WRONG. She watched the film from start to finish - over and over and over and over again.

I bought the collector's edition of the DVD, so at least I could read the Pop Up Fun Facts on the screen during the four thousandth sitting of the film. It's extraordinary how well the film has held up over the years. The music, the storyline, the actors - - all still great to witness today.
